• Develop and implement the manufacturing strategy that aligns with the overall business goals, focusing on efficiency, innovation, and quality. • Ensure manufacturing operations are aligned with the company’s strategic objectives, delivering products on time, within budget, and at the highest quality. • Oversee the production of both leather and synthetic footwear, ensuring that all products meet or exceed the S&OP volume targets, quality standards and customer expectations. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all manufacturing units to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency. • Ensure Implementation of automation and advanced manufacturing technologies to optimize production processes and reduce lead times. • Ensure budgetary control over all aspects of the manufacturing process by identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities, including waste reduction, efficient resource utilization, and streamlined operations. • Oversee the implementation of safety procedures and protocols to ensure a zero-accident environment within all manufacturing units. • Ensure that all manufacturing facilities are compliant with health, safety, and environmental regulations. • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies. • Engage with the local community and other relevant groups to enhance the company’s reputation as a responsible manufacturer. • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, ensuring the company remains at the forefront of manufacturing excellence. • Supervise the Industrial Engineering function to drive factory performance improvements through optimal line balancing, capacity planning, method studies, and productivity enhancement initiatives. • Oversee Lab Operations to ensure rigorous material and product testing in compliance with customer and regulatory standards, supporting product development and quality assurance. • Collaborate with other departments, including R&D, Production, and supply chain, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of manufacturing goals with overall business objectives.
• The incumbent for this position requires a minimum bachelor’s degree in chemical/ mechanical/electrical / industrial & production engineering (IPE)/ Leather Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in key Production functions in managing large-scale manufacturing operations in Footwear/ Textile / Consumer goods industries with minimum 2/3 years’ experience in Plant/ Factory Head role. • Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, cost management, and quality control in the footwear industry. • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes for both leather and synthetic footwear. • Proven ability to implement advanced manufacturing technologies, automation, and lean practices in a footwear production environment. • Expertise in implementing safety procedures and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
