• Develop and implement livestock and poultry procurement strategies aligned with business goals. • Support livestock supply and price forecasting model development. • Manage procurement budgets and drive cost optimization. • Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and safety standards through effective risk management. • Define and track KPIs for procurement performance and cost efficiency. • Prepare and execute short-, mid-, and long-term procurement plans based on production forecasts and market trends. • Coordinate daily sourcing from haat/bazaar, farmers, traders, and vendors. • Analyze pricing, supplier reliability, and disease data to guide sourcing decisions. • Oversee order placement, quality checks, and coordination with Finance for payments. • Implement contract farming and expand supplier sourcing networks. • Conduct training for suppliers/farmers on quality, disease control, and vaccination. • Lead and develop the procurement and logistics team, ensuring efficient coordination, transparency, and timely livestock delivery.
• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Animal Science or Animal Husbandry.
• Minimum 7 years in large-scale livestock/poultry procurement, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
• Expertise in livestock markets, animal sourcing, pricing, and disease control. • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. • Proficient in budgeting and cost control. • Understanding of supply chain and sourcing systems. • Unquestionable financial integrity. • Team leadership and mentoring abilities.
