• Develop and implement national and sub-national policy advocacy strategies aligned with Organization’s mission and strategic priorities. • Engage with government ministries, local government institutions and regulatory authorities to influence WASH-related policies and practices. • Design and manage advocacy initiatives and campaigns targeting key stakeholders, including policymakers, media, and civil society. • Monitor and analyse policy developments, legislative changes, and government plans relevant to WASH and development sectors. • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with GOs, NGOs, INGOs, academic institutions, and advocacy networks. • Represent Organization Bangladesh in policy dialogues, forums, and coalitions, ensuring the organisation’s voice is heard and respected. • Provide technical guidance and capacity building to Organization Bangladesh staff and partners on advocacy/campaign approaches and tools. • Support programmes to implement advocacy initiatives. • Contribute to fundraising efforts by developing advocacy components for proposals and donor reports. • Track progress and impact of advocacy initiatives, using appropriate monitoring and evaluation tools. • In addition, any other responsibilities assigned to the incumbent in the interest of Organization Bangladesh.
• Master’s preferably in Social Sciences or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience with hands-on experience in advocacy, policy influencing, or strategic communications within the development sector.
• Proven experience working with government institutions/ministries, local government bodies, and civil society organizations. • Strong understanding of national policy, law, and governance landscape, especially in WASH.
