• Develop and implement a forward-looking departmental structure that aligns with the organization's long-term goals. • Create annual strategic plans outlining clear communication priorities, objectives, and activities. • Establish and maintain an annual content calendar to guide communication efforts and ensure consistency in • messaging. • Innovate and execute multi-channel activities and events to increase organization’s visibility and enhance its • brand identity • Produce high-quality communications materials, including advocacy products, policy briefs, and infographics, adhering to international standards of writing, editing, and proofreading. • Develop and implement public relations strategies to elevate the organisation's reputation and increase positive media coverage. • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to effectively promote organization's mission and initiatives. • Mentor and support team members to ensure quality and consistency of their work, providing guidance and feedback as needed. • Develop and manage the communications team's budget, ensuring responsible allocation of resources and compliance.
• Relevant Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least 10 years of writing and communications management experience, with a track record of producing
• Previous experience in a Communications Head/Manager role. • Experience in marketing and developing creative communications plans. • Experience of public relations and promotional activities. • Deep understanding of the media and communications landscape with a track record of generating and copy-editing communications products used in policy-relevant research (i.e., advocacy products, policy briefs, infographics, etc.). • Proficiency in communications product design, including layout, graphics, and formal / legal requirements. • Fluency in English and Bangla is required; proficiencies in other languages are an additional asset. • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
