• Ensure full compliance with local and international trade regulations, customs requirements, and industry standards across all freight operations (air, sea, and land). • Liaise with regulatory authorities, customs, port officials, and government agencies to facilitate seamless documentation and shipment clearance. • Oversee the preparation and timely submission of licenses, permits, declarations, and other required legal documents. • Monitor changes in regulatory laws (including HS codes, import/export duties, INCOTERMS, etc.) and communicate their impact to internal teams and clients. • Establish internal compliance procedures and conduct periodic audits to identify risks, gaps, and non-compliance areas. • Collaborate with operations, customer service, and legal departments to ensure end-to-end regulatory alignment in customer shipments. • Lead investigations and responses to regulatory breaches, ensuring appropriate corrective and preventive actions are implemented. • Build strong working relationships with regulatory stakeholders to improve the company’s reputation and streamline approval processes. • Train internal stakeholders on compliance protocols and industry best practices. • Develop and manage compliance dashboards, maintain accurate regulatory records, and support internal/external audits as required.
• Graduate / Degree holder (Law, International Trade, Logistics, or related discipline preferred)
• 7–10 years of relevant experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or regulatory affairs
• Strong knowledge of customs clearance processes, bonded warehousing, and cross-border trade laws • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English (both written and spoken) • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and proactive problem-solving
