Job Description:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive programme strategy, aligned with the organization’s overall goals and objectives.
• Lead the ideation, conceptualization, and launch of innovative microfinance products, ensuring competitive positioning in the market.
• Conduct thorough market research to identify opportunities and trends, informing product design, pricing strategies, and distribution channels.
• Oversee the development and implementation of robust risk assessment and management procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and minimizing potential financial risks. Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team, providing guidance, training, and support to drive excellence in client service and achieve program goals.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, financial institutions, industry associations, and other relevant partners.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness and success of microfinance products, regularly reporting progress to senior management.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments such as Communications, HR and Risk Management to ensure seamless product integration, marketing campaigns, and compliance

Required Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Master's degree preferred.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 25 years of professional experience in the microfinance sector. At least 15 years of hands-on field experience in microfinance operations.
• Must be currently employed in a microfinance institution with a network of at least 200 branches.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, risk management, industry regulations, and best practices preferably within the microfinance sector.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
