• Update the Climate Change programme's strategic plan to align with organizational goals and national climate action commitments. • Provide technical guidance on climate vulnerability assessments, adaptation planning, and mitigation strategies • Oversee the implementation of ongoing climate change projects, ensuring adherence to work plans, timelines, and budgets. • Provide technical support and guidance to project managers and field staff to ensure efficient, high-quality project delivery, applying best practices in project management for consistency and success • Collaborate with national and international partners to leverage resources, share knowledge, and advocate for effective climate action • Collaborate with the Partnership and Fundraising unit to engage with development partners • Identify climate-related needs and collaborate on developing impactful project proposals which align with national goals
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in programme management with at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing diverse, large-scale programmes. • Strong understanding of climate change science, policy, and finance frameworks. • Demonstrated experience collaborating with the Ministry of Environment, Forests, and Climate Change (MoEFCC), Bangladesh and development partners. • Preferably Master's degree or higher in Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, Climate Finance, Environmental Economics, Natural Resource Management and Sustainable Development. • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, with a proven ability to foster cross-functional collaboration and build partnerships
