• Develop medium and long term coordinated planning based on the school’s educational objectives to keep the school up to date with developments in ICT. • Plan for major developments of the ICT service and project manage their implementation. • Support the full range of financial planning for ICT, through the identification, planning and costing of all future developments and upgrades to achieve best value for the school. • Set support priorities, balancing response to support requests with the need to follow planned monitoring and maintenance, in the context of staff availability and wider ICT service demands. • Manage the relevant IT budgets and achieve best value for the school’s ICT expenditure. • Manage the Academy’s ICT support staff as well as full time staff. • Take lead in ICT purchases, ICT consumables & IT inventory management, including asset disposal • Ensure all school ICT systems are fully operational at all times, including telephony. • Advise the Senior Leadership Team on the implementation of ICT policies and procedures. • Ensure all current and planned web-based technologies remain fully operational. • Produce and analyse reports on support requests for management purposes; advise the Senior Leadership Team on possible training activities based on support log analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree from any reputable university, preferably in ICT-related subject.
• Minimum of 9-10 years in the ICT field, of which at least 5 years in a managerial role having handled an Infrastructure and Service delivery team of 4-5 members. • Hands on knowledge on IT infrastructure including servers, application, hardware etc. • Experience designing and implementing network infrastructure • Extensive knowledge and experience in configuring and administrating MS Windows Servers, Active Directory, Mail and SQL Servers • Experience with HP network equipment including routers, firewalls, network switches, Wireless LAN Controllers, etc.
