• Set challenging business goals, taking into account the expectations of all stakeholders, dealers, suppliers, government, employees and shareholders. • Formulate business directions and competitive strategies, through SWOT analysis, in consultation with the BOD & GMD and senior management colleagues. • Draw the annual plan/budget, execute the approved plan and efficiently manage all aspects of the business operation of the Business for achieving the business performance on multiple parameters of profitability and growth. • Responsible for the Business Unit’s Top line to grow YOY basis by expanding business focusing on aggressive sales & credit recovery. • Responsible for end to end business including Marketing, Sales & Distribution & credit recovery/ receivable management. To increase the current market share and achieve committed bottom line. • Sound grasping on the current & future market scenario; and competition (pricing / distribution channel and dealer management, market trend etc.) • Ensure the quality and development of each member of the senior management staff through challenge, feedback, coaching, training and modeling self-development. • Earn an adequate return on stockholder's equity and to generate sufficient surplus for growth and expansion. • Optimize the handling of banking relationships and work closely with CFO to foster and grow strategic financial partnerships. • Work with the finance team to develop a solid cash flow projection and reporting mechanism, which includes setting a minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs. • As the COO promote the Group's interests by proactive handling of external relations. • Build interpersonal cooperation and teamwork between Business Unit and other functions of the Group. • Ensure the provision of appropriate resource and staff support to the departments of Business Unit, commensurate with their multiple performances, goals of profits, productivity and growth. • Provide requisite delegation to department heads, with corresponding controls. • Ensure the audit, update and compliance with all corporate policies and systems in all the relevant areas of the business division. • Provide all-round leadership through enabling, firm decisions, clear guidelines, accessibility and visibility to all departments. • Provide an accident-free environment for employees by promoting, encouraging and implementing safe working practices throughout the Business Unit as per the Group Safety Policy and targets. • Discharge all the responsibilities of Management Committee (ManCom) member as enlisted in the ManCom - Terms of Engagement, represent Business Unit. • Implement and sustain the code of ethics throughout Business Unit as per the Group policy.
• Tertiary, degree in related field; preferably an MBA from a reputed university
• 15+ years’ experience, preferably in relevant field. • In-depth knowledge and experience of the Commercial Vehicle Sector. • In depth knowledge of Industry/ Production/ Operation • Knowledge on annual plan/budget • Basic understanding of ERP/ IT
